BRGADRC, student arm conduct preparations for inclusivity park launching

The Bicol Regional Gender and Development Resource Center (BRGADRC), together with the Dawani Student Core Group (Dawani SCG) and AngSalinsinag, conducted a series of preparatory activities on December 8โ€“9, 2025 in anticipation of the upcoming launch of the Inclusivity Parkโ€”an initiative that symbolizes fairness, acceptance, and awareness within the Central Bicol State University of Agricultureโ€“Pili Campus.

This effort reflects the universityโ€™s continued commitment not only to academic training and resource provision but also to nurturing an environment grounded in inclusivity, equality, and justice.

The fully revamped Inclusivity Park will soon be unveiled following its renovation at the right side of the Student Center Building, in front of the CAS Department. Students and campus partners are encouraged to watch for further updates.

This initiative forms part of BRGADRCโ€™s PROJECT SAFE (Spaces, Advocacy, Facilities for Empowerment) contest.

Dawani campaigns to End VAW

Pili, Camarines Sur โ€” Student leaders from the Dawani Student Core Group of the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture actively conducted a campus-wide Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) in support of the Bicol Regional Gender and Development Resource Center and the national 18-Day Campaign to End VAW.

As part of their advocacy, Dawani members visited various colleges across the university to raise awareness on gender-based violence, encourage safe spaces, and empower students to speak up. The campaign included interactive group discussions highlighting the Safe Spaces Act (Bawal Bastos Law), studentsโ€™ rights, and accessible reporting mechanisms.

To strengthen its reach, the team also distributed safetags embedded with QR codes that provide students with an easy and confidential reporting channel for cases related to gender-based sexual harassment and discrimination. | John Rey Estiva, video edit by Faith Angeli De Asis
